Catherine Rawnsley is a garden designer based in Wellington, New Zealand. 

Her rural upbringing, passion for sustainability and being connected to nature inspired her to renounce her successful career as a lawyer and retrain as a garden designer. Catherine studied design at the renowned Inchbald School of Design, where she received a distinction for her Garden Design Diploma. She also holds a Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture from The Royal Horticultural Society in London, which she passed with commendation. 

Catherine has a design studio in her backyard, where she looks out onto a century year old Golden Pohutukawa tree covered in native birds and watches her bees collect nectar for her home-grown honey. 
Inspired by beautiful, functional gardens, Catherine brings this passion to all her designs, working with clients to realise their the aspirations for their outdoor spaces. 

Catherine works closely with her clients in developing the brief and provides creative, robust solutions that transform outdoor spaces into beautiful, wildlife friendly environments.
