Elly McKenzie is a food scientist, coeliac for over 20 years, and mum to three children — two with a mix of gluten, dairy and soy intolerances.


Inspired by my family’s journey, I'm on a mission to help people of all ages navigate life with coeliac disease, gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance.

For thousands of New Zealanders living with gluten and dairy intolerance — and the thousands living undiagnosed — the long- and short-term effects on the mind and body can be severe. That’s why I’m so driven to provide much-needed education and support.


I spent years working as a food scientist for companies including Fonterra, Comvita and Yoplait Dairy Crest. I have first-hand experience developing foods and writing food labels. Today, I'm bringing that in-depth personal and professional knowledge and expertise to my Tauranga-based practice, helping people all over New Zealand and Australia to live well with coeliac disease, gluten intolerance or dairy intolerance.
