Created within each Bear Park Early Childhood Centre, is a unique and respectful environment that offers children the many opportunities to grow and blossom into competent learners and researchers.

Our environments are carefully prepared and richly resourced to encourage children's creativity and social interactions. There is a love for natural materials throughout the inside and outdoor spaces, which welcomes and offers children the opportunity to explore the wonderful sensory experiences nature has to offer. Attention to detail is important as particular care is taken to design open-ended provocations for the children to encounter.

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy, acknowledging children as unique free-spirited individuals, inspires us.  As teachers we explore children's interests and developments alongside them and celebrate this with joy and respect.
In depth investigations abound, where children engage in meaningful experimentation of their own theories, hypothesising, testing and analysing their ideas.

We aspire to ensure a strong sense of self within each child and create a warm sense of belonging for children and their families. We strongly believe that respectful interactions and reciprocal relationships between children, teachers, and parents are at the heart of learning.

I am passionate about offering high-quality early childhood education through Montessori philosophy and practice within a small, calm and homely environment. We will develop your childs independence by providing an ordered learning environment where everything has its place and where children's choices are respected. Our three-hour sessions create opportunities for children to follow their interests and to  work with  and explore their self-chosen activities for sustained periods of uninterrupted time.

We aim to provide affordable early childhood education by offering 20 ECE hours and WINZ subsidies.

Due to the small environment  spaces are limited.  We recommend you complete the enrolment form and place your childs name on the waiting list in order to give your child the best chance of being allocated a space

**LovingCare Kindergarten** is licensed by the Ministry of Education and was established by the Auckland Christian Mandarin Church. 

The kindergarten is run by a Governing committee consisting of members of the church, parent representatives, the Centre Manager and the Assistant Centre Manager. 

LovingCare Kindergarten provides an educational programme based on a Christian philosophy. We cater for the interests and abilities of each child. Learning stories are written for each child, and a portfolio made for parents to get to know what their child is doing at kindergarten. This information is used to build a programme based on the Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki. 

Children are taken on trips several times a year, to build their knowledge of the community and to enhance their learning. Everyday we offer special activities for the children to be involved in. Christian philosophy, Christian philosophy and values are incorporated into our learning throughout the day. 

Creative dance, children are given the opportunity throughout the day to express themselves creatively to music. FMS , there are opportunities for the children to participate in a range of physical activities and Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS), including soccer on the front lawn, riding the bikes, climbing, running and jumping. Cooking/Baking - children have the opportunity to participate in preparing food for themselves and each other. 

School readiness - We believe that children learn through play. Children have the opportunity to develop their self help skills, social & emotional skills, early literacy & numeracy, and the confidence of being a life-long learner in their play. 

We endeavour to work together with the families and the school to provide a happy transition to school. Every two weeks, we have the Waitakere City library bus visit us. We also have 4 year olds taking turns to visit Jireh School and nature walk. Multi cultural - we acknowledge and welcome all cultures

Eden Cottage was established in 1983 as a way to meaningfully support the growing number of young families in our community.Over 40 years later, we remain committed to partnering with parents and whanau so that our tamariki can thrive and look forward to a bright future.Our te reo name Te Iti Kahurangi speaks of the precious small treasures that our tamariki are treasures who deserve our best educational care and aroha.Based in a homely cottage setting, we are able to welcome up to 38 tamariki between the ages of 2-5 years to what will be their home away from home.
